There is nothing worse than spraying your favorite luxury perfume, only to have it vanish within two hours. The problem usually isn't the perfume—it's how you're applying it.
1. Moisturize First Fragrance sticks to oil, not dry skin. Apply an unscented lotion or Vaseline to your pulse points before spraying. This creates a "primer" that locks the scent in.
2. Hit the Pulse Points Don't just spray the air and walk through it. Target the warm spots on your body: your wrists, neck, behind the ears, and even the inside of your elbows. The heat activates the scent.
3. Don't Rub Your Wrists! We've all done it, but rubbing your wrists together actually "bruises" the scent molecules, causing the top notes to evaporate faster. Just spray and let it dry naturally.
4. Spray Your Clothes (Carefully) Fabric holds scent longer than skin. If you are wearing cotton or wool, a light mist on your collar can keep you smelling great for 24 hours. (Avoid this on silk to prevent staining!)
5. Store It Right Heat and light kill perfume. Keep your SenCessa bottles in a cool, dark drawer, not on the bathroom counter where steam can ruin the formula.
